Hi,
I've just installed the Dictionary add-on to Mozillia Firefox Browser.
I have noticed that wrongly spelt words are showing up having the red line indicator underneath (similar to a word processor) even on your forum replies.
This may be of some help to folks having trouble with hitting the wrong keys every now and then like myself.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Regards
C

Been using this for years, its great, though I still end up editing all my posts for small annoying punctuation and grammar things .
Trouble is I often mix up words because I select the wrong one from the drop down menu (when you right click and underlined word).

It does make you lazy when typing though :D.

I had to download the dictionary as an add-on maybe it dont come with my version of the browser. Anyway I found it rather useful even though I was a little late getting to the party

Maybe you should download a Grammar check as well *jokes*

I've got this, and it is a bit annoying as it thinks us Brits use US English sometimes

At least it doesn't tell me to use the word 'learned' instead of 'learn't' - I can't believe some people consider you uneducated if you use the latter

Hey not having a go at our friends over the pond lol but while I am not great at the English language myself I think it should be preserved and not dumbed(?) down further so to speak!

Other essentials for Firefox include...

Noscript - Absolutely essentials but annoying at first... stops java apps unless you allow it so many good reasons to have this. Basically no more annoying pop-ups and stops cross site linking and other nasties such as being directed to other sites that might not be as innocent as you think...

Sxipper - Stores all private data useful for the lazy like me :)

fast dial - Just so simple, but Cool

Colourfull tabs - you can make it so all tabs are colour coded to an individual server address or just random colours.

cooliris - very cool if you like browsing photo galleries

IEXIF - allows you to extract information from peoples photos such as camera type / model number and shutter speed, aperture, film speed focal length and whatever other information the picture does or doesn't contain!

Orbit download and integration

A few other good little addons and also if you streamline the browser you can make look funky and get rid of all the clutter too...

With my dyslexia i live with spell checker and have iespell in IE (which i no longer use)

However even with my spelling it cant get what I'm trying to spell half the time!!!

There is a perfect example - I selected "and" instead of "an".

I thought this came with the browser without needing to get an add-on? It did for me.
I think it does come with newer Firefox versions, not sure. I started with an older version of Firefox where it wasn't included, so I just kept this add-on installed anyway.

You can download a British English package :good:.
