yes they do get big male @ 12'' and female @ 24'' mine is a male thank god..

so what sorta habbit you got it in? is it a half submerged tank? some stuff out of the water, rocks etc, then water below it?

the tank is a 20 us gal.
the tank is only 2/3rd full with a rock basking area under the bulb.
i will add a pic of the tank leter today.
