Halo!

Had to use a computer with vista on today, and got well confused. It just doesn't work how you expect windows to work. I think microsoft have changed their format to a more apple mac style and got it wrong. Some things just don't make sense!

Ok not a comment on Halo, but a reason why it's better to get an Xbox360 and the game rather than tarnish your pc with that flashy but gutless operating system!

where did you get confused?

Ok, not that confused, but I had to use the laptop to do a presentation using a projector, and it took a while to sort out the display config to how i needed it, things weren't quite where i expected them to be!

At the minute i'm in the "it's just a flashy upgrade that doesn't do much more than xp... but slower" camp. I'm sure i'll make the switch in time, but at the moment i don't see the need to give bill gates any more of my money! I'm actually looking for a good linux distro at the moment, i'll keep xp for the games, but use linux for the other stuff, internet, office, music editing (i've heard there's a few decent packages out there). Vista's also got the digital rights management stuff that won't let you play a dvd on your pc unless all the devices are drm signed. Not a direction i want an OS to go in myself.

halo 2 is awesome i was hook playing it, literally in the summer holidays watch up at 10am get ready do the halo strengths Then 11 play none stop on line, with friends all other the world until 12 eat and at 12.30 back on until 12am-1

those were the good days i got cat like reflexes

Halo is the best game in the world no argument

Any game like Halo in which you die multiple times when you're stuck at some level and when you have to save/load multiple times doesn't deserve to be called best game in the world in my book.

was hooked to Halo, started playing halo 2 a year ago, still goto complete it! Might aswell start agian now forgot what was going on. lol

Coincidently I played Halo 2 on my 360 last night.... Just to see what all the fuss was about.... it's ok - but still not up to what PC games have been for years...

I'll be borrowing Halo 3 before i spend anything on it ...

Halo 1 was very good but I couldnt be bothered with Halo 2, I just got too bored with it. Im hoping Halo 3 will be better but with Gears of War on the scene I cant see it being 'The Daddy' on the 360 that it was on the original xbox.

I'll keep my money for Call of Duty 4 in November...that will just give halo 3 a big wedgie and steal its lunch money!

Exactly what I think smithrc. I tried, but could never get into Halo, but I'm glad all of you others enjoy it :good:
My eye is currently on Crysis :shifty: However I think another thread would be appropriate for that and I won't hijack this thread.

Personally I went with the 'Wii60" approach to gaming. Wii60 is the term used when someone bought a Wii and Xbox360 for the price of a Playstation 3. Since I got a 360, I had no interest in Halo. Totally over rated. I would go with some other games out there which are much better then Halo, for example, Metriod Prime 3:Corruptions(Wii) or Gears of War(Xbox 360). They are both much more innovative then Halo. When you end up putting three games out there and they are all the same that basically put a bullet to anything that desirves an award for something groundbreaking.
