johnboy!
Fish Fanatic
Bought one of these on impulse 2 days back, with an eye to upgrade if needed, but as my tank is big enough for his adult size, i don't need to the tanks roughly 40 gallon, i also bought 3 Bolivian rams, and i'm considering a banjo catfish too, obviously not for at least a week or so to let bacteria to accumulate to allow for more fish, I've been keeping for 7 years now so i know the ins and outs of the nitrogen cycle and bacteria accumulation, the tanks externally filtered, and has only a moonlight for now, I've always used a moonlight for the first week to let fish settle, and found a very high success rate, losing about 1 fish per 50 fish purchased if that makes sense. Got all fish eating bloodworm frozen cubes right now, will try prawn later, and i plan on purchasing mussel, and lancefish for the eel, varied diet etc...
My question is, with these fish already:
4 Bristlenose (to find a strong pair, 2 will be rehomed)
3 Bolivian Rams
1 "half striped zigzag eel" Which i've identified as Macrognathus circumcinctus,
Could i add to this? my options are:
a leaf fish?
banjo cat?
butterfly fish?
The tank doesn't look to great right now, i focused on letting the fish settle with a lot of plant cover and some floating bogwood, i may re arrange that today so its more presentable, depending on how nervous the fish are.
Thats me
