Hair Algea....i Think...>.>

hi,i've ben haveing a bit of a problum with what i think is hair algea...it green and puffy and gets all over my rocks and plants.when i clean my tank it dissapears and the next day my tank is full of it.if anyone has any idea of whats going on plz reply.thanks

I think you need to give us all somemore info. are you dosing ferts how much light. tank size and co2

um...i don't have a co2 tank.....and i only have 1 real plant the rest of them are aritificial.....but that one plant i think is dying...i'm going to switch over to artificial plants....should i have to have a co2 tank? they said nothing about this on the other fourm.....

You dont have to have co2 unless you've got high light, which I doubt you have.

i have 2 10 watt florecent bulbs in my fish tank.witch was what it is suppose to have according to the lmap.

it's a 10 gallon tank...i'm not sure how big it would be in england

20w over a 10g is fine for low light and wont require CO2, unless you want to add it. Im sure the plants would like the extra CO2 but it's not vital.
