Had surgery today

Prayers for a quick recovery. You’ve got a lot of work with all your tanks! Glad you’re getting the care you need

Thank you all for the health wishes...
Because of multiple injuries on my right arm, I got to learn to do things with my left arm. Even writing. But it remains different if you can't use your right arm if you're right handed. But during the surgery, they've discovered some other things as well that isn't logical for a human body. And that does explain certain physical problems I have. I've been told that I do need another surgery because of this and yesterday's surgery didn't worked the way it was planned.

As one who has had a few run-ins with having body parts cut and patched or replaced and then being a hospital guest for post surgical recovery stays which were then followed by rehab, I can offer one piece of advice. They give pain meds for a reason- use them. But, do not abuse them.

Hopefully, they get it all fixed the next time.

I only use opiates as pain killers for a long time now. Other pain killers are damaging my kidneys. And I do have a serious kidney problem. I already had a serious number of surgeries throughout the years. I've stopped counting them. Ever since my childhood I'm dealing with health problems. But the past 25 years it has become more and more. Certain specialists are amazed that I'm still around. And specifically because of the fact that they've given up on me for three times and I got through against all expectations.

I thought I was bad, but I have to take 2nd place behind you. Keep on proving them wrong for as long as you possibly can. With luck, you will outlive some of those specialists.

You do realize that one of the priviliges of old age is that we get to talk about all our health issues with ouur peers wh have not yer succumbed to them. It is what replaces trading cards from our youth.

There is an old saying for us older folks that goes like this: "When you wake up in the morning and nothing hurts, you can be sure you're dead." Herbert Achternbusch
