Gutter fish

This is a pic from one of the guys rescued from the street gutter. I'm working on my picture taking technique, but even though it's a fuzzy pic, I had to post him. He reminds me of Andy Warhol, The Monkees and Herbie (#53).

That fish is a wind-up, surely? Or he's a refugee from a really made attempt at dying fish!

wow, what an interesting looking guppy. can't say i've ever seen one like that.

That kind of colouration is much more like the wild caught guppies and Endlers. I prefer them to the line bred "exotic" cultivars.

u do get guppys like that!!!! and endlers looks like that too!!! at my favourite lfs they have lvely multi colured guppys its not that uncommon!

Wild guppies have very similar colouring to that one. My lfs has them (wild ones) and sells them at 3 x the price of fancy ones.

I gather he's as wild as they get, coming from a street gutter and all. And a FOTM Nomination! Maybe it's another rags to riches story!

He is a very active fellow, and very tough to catch, especially his tail, he's got a very long upper sword that is yellow-black, but it's always wiggling! If I could increase the shutter speed in the camera, then I would be able to freeze him, but I need more lighting for that.
Also, he's rather small, about a half inch, less the tail.

And regaridng color, I concur, he looks almost fake! When I saw him first I was anxious about possible radiation

It's a male allright, from a mile away! And his female companions are about 3 times bigger than him.

Why are they called feeder?

And what's an Endler?
