Thursday I put an overtank illuminaire on my tank. Just now I found one of my little perculas dead on the carpet ,poor little bugger what a horrible way to die . I was going to make a hood but when I priced it up the overtank worked out a bit cheaper and was also a lot less effort(another example of the easiest way not necessarily being the best).
Now to make some covers..........

sorry about your loss. Use egg crate for a temporary cover

For now I've used the flaps from the old hood for the front and back, which dosen't look too bad and I think I've got some hard board that will do for the sides until tomorrow (everywhere here is shut now).
