Hi everyone!!! I am so HAPPY that I have gotten my water completely clear. I have NEVER seen it like this. I did a partial change and that really helped.
I now have 6 baby guppies that are big enough to swim with the others. I am wondering how long it takes until you can tell if they are male or female?
Thanks...I love this board!!!!

You can tell as early as 1 or 2 weeks old if you have a magnifing (sp) glass...Or you could wait until they are around 4-6 weeks to tell..

They are pretty big now...I would say at least 4 wks old. But they are all just a pale pink color. Am I looking for a certain fin or the fancy coloration in the male tail??

What you are looking for are the gonapodia(it's modified ventral fin-it's "willy" if you like) Males will develop a type of third fin under it's belly between the two fins it already has. Females do not. I hope this has helped. :*) :*)

:p Thanks for the info....You have really helped!
