Hi there guys, i recently started out with this hobby, ive currently got 6 guppys. I have a 30 litre tank which is taller than it is wide. I have an aria airator in the bottom which pumps out lots of bubbles quite violently.

My question is do fish find this annoying(stressful) or is it a good thing?

Any help appreciated.

I have guppy's and other small fish in one of my tanks with quite a heavy flow of big bubbles. One of the guppy's insists on swimming in to the bubble stream, being carried up to the top of the tank (upside down may I add), then gracefully falling down again to the bottom. He then repeats this over and over for about an hour every night.. lol it's quite funny to watch, but he doesn't seem to bothered about it! He does it on purpose, as he floats down from the surface a good foot or so away from the air stone, so he has plenty of chance to avoid it if he so wishes!

Ok thanks i shall leave it on for a bit see how they get on with it :)

I think as long as they can get away from it you should be fine.

I have a small breeder tank with 14 guppies in it, it has a sponge filter in it which is connected to an airline and this throws out quite a strong bubble flow.

They dont seem to mind it!
