My male guppy's spine is bending upward. I've never seen this before, and it just happened today. He recently got a case of ich, and is still getting over it. Do you think the ich has anything to do with it? He's not in a "handstand" like with swim bladder infections. Does anyone know what this is?

How did you treat the ich and are you still treating?

It might be a good idea to separate him from your other fish...i.e. a quarantine tank....

It could be an internal infection....are there any other symptoms?

I'm using quick cure and aquarium salt for the ich. He's allready in a hospital tank. There are no othe symptoms that I can see.

Update:
I put him in a different hospital tank (he had been in one with his girlfriend who also had ich) and I fed him some mashed peas and his spine straightened back out. I still don't know why it was bent in the first place though...

Hmm. Must of been one of those things to scare you,fish are good about that. I'm glad he's allright.
