Hi,

It's really hard to tell from the pics. Have you ttested your water stats? Any other fish showing any symptoms? How often do you change the water? How many fish are in the tank, what size is it? It could be a wound, could be internal bacteria, could be the start of an ulcer. Is he hanging about the bottom or top of the tank? Are his gills swollen, does he appear to be gasping for breath? Is he shoaling?

Hi There I realised my question was vauge
ill try to get better pics
its a trigon 190
The water is changed weekly 20%
No other fish have any marks or abrasions
He hangs around the top alot
Seems to breath fine
No swallen gills or anything else
Ill try to get a water test done tonight and post results

Hi,

My guppies all hang about the top a lot so I would think that's normal. I would get some anti-bac meds and keep them on stand by. Hopefully someone else will have a better idea. Fingers crossed for him!

none of my guppies hand=g around the top for more than a few seconds, could you describe the wound more?

got some better pics hope this helps

I would put him in a separate quarantine tank and treat him with some meds. Also, I would do a major 75% water change, or alot of small water changes(someone else can chime-in and say which is better,) in the main tank. And you are going to want to keep a VERY close eye on all of the other fish for similar symptoms.

has he been hanging around the heater at all? looks a little like what mine did when she burnt herself. has he been rubbing/flicking?

no not that I can tell
The heater has a guard on it so nit sure how or where it would get burned
Ive just put him into a quarantine tank for now to kee an eye.
ill also look at the heater
Thanks all

probably not a brun then, does it look like its flakeing away? has it got bigger/smaller that you have noticed?

its starting to look like a sore
as I can see red -looks like skin broken but not flakeing
Yesterday and today morning I could harldy tell it was there at night it seems worse or maybe its the lights?
Hes swiming about more now but still at the top of the tank

i'd issolate if you haven't already, add some anti bacterial meds to keep away any infection. don't really know what else to recommend

should i add antibacterial to the tank he was in as well to protectthe other fish??
