I breed guppies and I have a boy that was born about 10 months ago. He stopped growing a few months ago. Hes about 3/4 of an inch. Since I dont know how long it takes for guppies to grow I normal wouldnt be worried but I have 2 other boys that are as big as the other guppies that are 7 months old. I also have a girl that was born 9 months ago that is full grown also. Is there something wrong with him?

You should give them a balanced diet. If you already are, then maybe it suddenly stopped producing a growth hormone. this can be genetic so maybe you can make money with this dwarf gene lol

If you have all of these in the same tank, this inhibits growth and eventually you'll get babies staying baby size.

Adult guppies let off hormones that stop growth in other fish, and when you've got a lot or too many in one tank, this happens.

No. Male guppies are always smaller than the females. He does not have anything wrong with him. It is just him adapting to the available space left.

What size tank is he in/has been in? What have you been feeding and how often?

Guppies are getting smaller from inbreeding, but that seems excessively small.

do you breed them and sell them?
I sell them sometimes. Only when I have way to many.

He used to live in a 10 gallon with the other young guppies but I moved him to the main guppy tank which is 30 gallons 4 months ago. He eats tropical flakes, blood worms, and daphnia. I feed them small amounts 3 times a day. I wouldnt know about any inbreeding because his mother was from Petsmart and I have no idea who his father was.

Hmm...seems like you did everything right. He may just be small, since Guppies are continuely getting smaller as the species gets more inbred. I'd just continue as you've been doing, and watch and make sure he isn't being bullied out of food.

Do you know that a Female guppy who never gives birth will grow twice bigger than adult size (4 inches).
 I've never heard that one before...

There's a heater, right?

Ehe... my little boy Flicker got all stunted and only grew to half an inch though he got full colors because I didnt have a tank with a heater for him...
