I just realized I have one felmale guppy and eight males...is this good or bad? I think I need to get more ladies for the males.

very, very very bad. all the males will fight over the one female. you should have at least two females per one male so they aren't fighting. with that many, three per one male might be a better idea.

either all males, or more males to females

As like asid above their fight

You should either move the female to her own tank away from the male guppys (as she will probably be getting raped on a daly basis in that tank set up by the males) or, if you have a lot of space (how many gallons is the tank and what is its total stocking?) get 2-3 females per male minimum.

i would immediately remove the female or as fishkrazy said she will be raped to death .also i echo what everyone said , you realistically should have 2-3 females per male .

I thought everyone knew the answer to that one...3 females per one male...lol
