how come none of the other fish are affected if the guppy has a disease?
Well some fish react differently to bad quality water-danios for instance are far more tolerant and are often used to kickstart the ammonia cycle because they can tolerate a higher amount of ammonia in water. Guppies will also flick off rocks etc if the nitrite starts to rise-they just need good water to put it bluntly.
