Anyone experience this before w/ a guppy? I know male bettas can get this problem, but I dunno, just never occured to me that guppies could as well.
We have 3 male guppies in our 29gal. 2 of them have those really big tails. Ever since we got them, their tails have always been a bit tattered. Thought it was just from them pestering eachother all the time. It's def not finrot.
So just a couple of days ago, I saw one of the guppies chasing his tail. Imagine a dog chasing their tail, that's exactly what it looked like. It surprised me b/c well.. I just wasn't expecting it?

Just wondering if anyone else has had a guppy do this, and if the guppy eventually stopped or did it keep doing it or what.

No parasites that I can see. None of the other fish show signs of a parasite either. *shrugs* Guess it's just one of those things...

i know some bettas can be tail biters, so maybe its possible guppies can be that neurotic too.
what you do is get a tiny plastic cone and put it around his head to keep it from biting.

lol honestly i am not sure how to stop it.
