i've never kept guppies or anything really that bred in the tank....i've only had oscars and bettas really....

i just "saved" 3 guppies from Walmart on monday.....one that kinda looks like a 3/4 black male ....and the other 2 (females).....i dunno......
The one that had babies today, i seporated them( the babies only) in a smaller betta bowl, my questions.....do i add an air stone to them? and what do i feed them......all i did so far is....sepporated, added an air stone that is pretty clogged and only trickels out a little bit of air...and i ground up the tropical fish flake food and added a tiny amount.... .....is that all i can do so far?

thnx

Nothing wrong whit what your doing.

If the tank with the adult guppies was heavyly planted you'd be able to leave the young in the tank with the adults.

Guppies, other name Millions fish. You could end up with far to may fry, as guppies breed worse than rabbits. If you find you end up with to many fry, just leave them in the tank with the adults, they will eat them and keep the numbers. BTW this is natural and not me being evil B)

Davy, if that makes you evil, then I'm Satan himself lol.

But seriously, Davy has got it down pat.

ok ....thnx for the info....and no i dont think you katz are evil.......i believe in natural selection with people, animals, plants. thats why evil things happen in life...but i just never had fish that bred before..... thnx for replying

I had a hard time getting my fry to survive in bowls and buckets, even with water changes and air stones. If possible and if you don't have any luck with the bowls, try a mesh fry breeder. It should help. ;)

(writes down on a piece of paper) "mesh fry breeder"

ok i will look for one today
