Guppy Fry :)

Thats the thing I also have a swordtail fry which was almost identical to this one when born and still has the same colouring but it was only a female guppy in the breeding net so i dont see how a fry from the outside could have got in :p Its strange that hes different from the others :p

I guess that's a calico that will look like this most likely:

I hope mine will look like that too when he grows up.
He probably entered through the hole or jumped in, out of fear of the adults.

I have platys in my tank that look like that but the female isnt pregnant also my swordtails are dalmation, tuxedo and pinapple so i dont see how i could end up with a calico swordtail fry ill post a pic in a minute

what color is the tuxedo? If it's black berlin, then that one mated with your pineaple and that's the end result, a fry with red back+head and mostly black body.

My only pair are a blood red female and a black berlin male with red fins. Which resulted in the fry that looks like yours. I call him Ninja :p

yeah she is a black berlin ahh that explains it :) i now feel guilty as mine does not have a name :p

Took me a while to find names for mine, but I only have 3.
Ninja was named first. He had a brother or sister, not sure what it was, exactly like him, but it died one night. Confirmed he is a male cause he started doing the backwards-swimming dance, along with his brother, Pinky.
And it seems they have a sister too, she may stay completely white, or turn out to be like her mother, blood-red with red eyes. My friend found a name for her: Nightfish. X))

my betta is the only one who has a name :p i get too attached to them if i name them :p

Tell me about it, I had this fry I named Cozilla... He was my last swordtail fry from a batch(around 3-4 cm), his sisters / brothers jumped because I had no lid. And then, in a day when I was doing 100% water change and moving them to the bowl, he decided to jump through the net that was above the bowl. He landed on the ground and I didn't realize I had stepped on the poor little guy. :-( I buried him in a flower pot and planted something there (ivy) to remember where he is. I still have that ivy there to this day.
That was the first fish I cried for, the second was a hoplo named Rex, who jumped out of the tank, landed in front of the door on Christmas night, and froze to death. :-( Worst Christmas ever that time. I loved that fish so much for all the fry he had saved by letting them sit under him...
