It doesn't look my guppy fry, mine started off pinkish in colour & now at 1 week old it's darkened, but doesn't look like that one

i think it looks odd too but this is my first time with Guppies and breeding so I have no clue what I am looking at. lol There is no way this could be a loach baby is there? I have 2 loaches but I have had them for years and have never seen even an egg let alone babies. The baby even looks like it is swimming differently than the other babies and it is stickign to the leaves, unlike the other babies that are hanging out in the Guppy Grass...

Thanx so much for your reply. It will be exciting to see if it grows up to be a Guppy or something else...:)

What other kinds of fish do you have in that tank?

Neon Tetra, a couple Mollies and 2 loaches (loaches are around 3 years old if age matters), Yoyo I think.
I did just buy a chunk of Guppy Grass. Do you think a baby could have been hiding in that?

Could these be mollies as i have fry that i wast sure what fish dropped them and they look the same, mine are 5 days old and are silvery now turning darker :) and people are saying mine are mollie fry.

Maybe thats what it is.. :D I just got the Mollies a couple days ago maybe one of them is/was pregnant and I just didn't know it. lol.

Thanx so much for the reply. :D

looks like a dalmatian molly fry maybe?

Maybe! I have just put a female dalmation in there. She must have been pregnant when I got her. :good: How exciting!

Thanx so much for the reply. Will post pics when the baby starts getting some color..

It does not look molly or guppy to me. As someone already said, guppy fry are tiny pink things. they most resemble a dot with a tail. Molly fry are more compact looking than your fry. This is a picture of some of mine taken on day 1 from a while back.

My best guess is something that came in with your plants.

i wouldn't of thought you'd be able to take a picture that well if it was guppy fry. mine are almost see through apart from a dot for a few weeks then you start to see the shape. wouldn't of thought you'd only have one if it was molly fry either. had mollies before and had around 15-20 fry. be interesting so see what it is in the end. could you add more pics soon pls.

I've had colored guppy fry born and taken good pictures, will see if I can find them to compare. Doesn't look like a guppy to me at all, its scales look too defined.

Here, some guppies...

Just born...
