I have 12 fancy male guppies in a tank alone other than bottom feeders. Had them for over a month. They are constantly chasing and nipping 2 yellow males. I have lots of plants. How can I stop this. I feel sorry for those 2. Never get any peace.

How long has it been going on for?

It's a fight for dominance and the weaker ones will get injured or killed, so remove the ones being picked on or the ones doing the bullying. But removing the bullies can upset the hierarchy and cause more problems.

And do what with them? Don't they need to be in groups over 6?

Put them in a different tank. Guppies are fine on their own or in groups. When kept in groups they develop a pecking order with the dominant fish keeping the others in place by picking on them. Sometimes a couple of fish will vie for top position and they will fight until one swims away or is killed.
