hi everybody!
can someone help? Ive just started keeping tropical fish, I had 6 young guppies (in a 192ltr tank) and bought 6 young tiger barbs today. when i got in from work I found only 4 guppes left, they have all had their tails practicaly shredded
I have researched the fishes that I want to keep & I know that tiger barbs should'nt be kept with long finned fish unless they are in a group of at least 5 so thought it would be ok, how guilty do I feel
I cant take the tiger barbs back to the shop for a few days but need to somehow seperate them from the guppies, I cant just leave them as they are, theyre terrified! how can i do this? (I dont have another tank atm)
would an empty ice cream tub floating in the tank be ok for the guppies as a temp home with some plants? would changing the water in it every 12 hours be ok for them?
oh, a couple of the barbs are green ones, are they more agressive? could it be that theyre young?
Sorry for the rambling & tonnes of questions!
