Ammonia 0, i am isolating the fish incase its contageous

Can you get a photo of the fish from the front? What is your tank size and what else is in there with this guppy?

Working on that photo, tank size 12 gallon, 3 other guppies

Do you feed pellet food?
What is his breathing like? Are his gills fast paced?
Do you have small rocks in your tank?

Possibility that something is stuck in his mouth.

Now that i think of it.. the fish seemed to be swimming into the filter output alot for the last day or two, another of my guppies was doing that (although this one doesnt seem as bad, and the other guppy was new) and the other died.

I have melafix and primafix on hand, worth a go?

He seems to be moving his mouth in that movie you have up.

Does he seem skinnier then the others? How are his eating habits?

he is moving the mouth a little, and its a small guppy in general, does eat a little less than the others because its not as fat!. I should add its the only survivor of my first batch which was a year ago, a little more, so its quite old for a guppy.

I think keeping it in the bucket is causing stress, do you think its contagious? if not ill put it back in the tank for now.

Damn bad luck! i was hoping to grab some neon tetra tomorrow at the lfs :(

Should i add some mela/primafix?

I don't think there's anything that's keeping his mouth open that could be contagious. I think he would be okay if you put him back in the tank. However I would do a 30% water change before putting him back in.

How often do you perform water changes?

It was just after a water change i realised there was something wrong, i do a 25-30% water change once every 5-7 days.

I found the following info at this site- http://www.fishforever.co.uk/fish-disease.html

Sort of sounds like it..

Cotton Mouth
Mouth Fungus is so called because it looks like a fungus attack of the mouth. It is actually caused from the bacterium Chondrococcus columnaris. It shows up first as a gray or white line around the lips and later as short tufts sprouting from the mouth like fungus. The toxins produced and the inability to eat will be fatal unless treated at an early stage.
Symptoms: White cottony patches around the mouth and loss of appetite
Treatment: There are commercial products available to treat cotton mouth.

Yeah lol i definately dechlorinate every time, doesnt really look like those pics to be honest although it may be the early stages? maybe it has hit its mouth and it just needs to heal? No other chemicals in the water.

Well its mouth seems to be closing a bit more, the fish doesnt really look happy though, and cos its old i'm not really getting my hopes up, and i know im gonna sound like an idiot now, but if it does die, should i really cancel getting neons tomorrow? (annoyingly bad timing, ive been looking forward to getting them for ages lol)
