Guppies make me feel like the grim reaper

My last guppy had a recurring prolapse. He only has two days until his guppy lady friends arrive. It really sucks being a guppy in my house. I feel really bad that I have ordered of few more to keep the remaining two guppies happy and they both died before they got here. I really thought guppies were supposed to be easy fish to keep.

I believe it might be the flake food combined with a possible parasite and poor genetics. It happened to a few of my guppies. It’s happened to that last fish before but he recovered after I worm treated the tank and changed his food for a while.

Gh is 14, my water parameters should be pretty ideal for guppies.

Irksome you know a good proper guppy when they have a large fain tail and it's wide and i feed my guppies on Bug bite granules and they love them.

Those are beautiful guppies, I would love my guppies to have turned into gorgeous specimens like that. Maybe my next batch will be better. If i can keep them alive a bit longer this time I will invest in some really lovely fancy ones.

That looks really cool. I have redone my tank too and replaced my guppies with some somewhat plain female ones, I’m hoping these survive.

Good job my hubby sits next to the noise have your previous ones just died out the blue with waters being stable?

Poor genetics are really common when it comes to breeding guppies.

ok so a couple of guppies die not only you but many other fish keepers put it down to poor genetics
genetics might cause problems.
it is so sad that when something goes wrong with a guppy it is blamed on genetics
