Guppies in 20 gallon high questions

You have male guppies and black neons. Didn't you get the black neons to eat the baby guppies?

re: the 3 male guppies, the smallest all yellow one has a funny shaped head and flared gills. You might want to treat the tank with Praziquantel for gill flukes & tapeworm, and Levamisole to get rid of any intestinal round or thread worms.

I'm not sure what you saw. I read your post and went and stared at them. The guppies seem perfectly fine to me so maybe just the quality of the vid?

And yes, all male guppies. This was my original idea. So I don't have to deal with breeding. The pet store only takes them depending on the color, but the guy was hesitant even saying that...so yeah.

I was actually impressed with the store quite a bit. They were old school some what and used under gravel filters with deep gravel beds. Lots of malaysian trumpet snails and places for fish to hide in. Not to mention a cool salt water fish collection!

Anyway....back to my guys that I got. So far so good. Some people thought that the black neons might nip at the guppies but I haven't noticed it. right after they were put in neither species knew what to do with the other. The guppies stayed in that one small spot. Now..they are beginning to venture out a bit. The black neons aren't schooling quite as much so they are also getting more comfortable.

I do believe I may get more male guppies in the future. I think they might be more comfortable with more of them. I still want some sort of cory cat...but both of those will have to wait a bit. Oh well. Lol. But so far so good!
