Somethings cannot be unseen!

Just saw a video on YouTube of a tank with 1xpiranha, 2x oscars and three tiny goldfish as food.

I know I know I watched it but I blame it on the iPads stupid touch screen - I actually clicked on a tree aquarium when it opened this clip instead and I was just astonished when I saw what the fish were!!! Why do these things get posted

i dont understand,

the problem is........??

That the OP was offended by what she saw as I would be if I had seen it.
What is the point of posting a video of three fish ripping three other fish to pieces?
As far as I am concerned, the person who posted that video on YT really needs to reassess their own standards and consider the thoughts of other people.

you could probably say the same thing about 95% of all the videos posted on YT

bottom line is.....nobody is forcing anybody to watch them

Not a question of a bottom line, more a question of better moderation of the content being allowed on there AND more consideration of others by those who think it funny/clever to post such videos.  Rant over.

Nature programs show it, circle of life

Nature programmes are one thing, YT is something else.
The OP clicked on what she thought to be a tree aquarium video and found herself staring at what is basically carnage which upset her and understandably so.

What was the title of the video?

Thank you DJH584 - my point exactly that things should be moderated some how on YouTube.

I clicked on it by accident - yes I appreciate its the circle of life, however in nature program's the prey has a chance, not in a small aquarium where it has nowhere to hide.

I have nothing against oscars or piranhas but I do when people post videos on YouTube saying Oscar vs piranha or 'I got bored so I put these fish together to see what would happen'

How about they go out litter picking, or picking up dog mess, or doing some housework for old people!!

T if you want to watch it I'm sure you can find it, it's not rocket science - you use the search bar.

i agree yt should be more closely monitered, not that long ago a video was doing the rounds with rescues, it was a young lad tied a young terrified tortoishell kitten  to a broom handle and was encouraging his snake to eat it, even the RSPCA were appauled and they acted on it as that, certainly is not the circle of life

you knew right away it was the wrong video, right when you saw the title and the first 2-3 seconds of the video.....you could have stopped the video at that point, instead you decided and made the choice to watch the entire thing, and now you are trying to blame YT for your own decision and your own choice

Yes I know, that's not the point though Mikey, what I wanted to say was why are these type of videos allowed on YouTube?

I'm no fluffy bunny hugger, and I have witnessed the aftermath of some horrors in my time, but cannot see the point of them being broadcast on YouTube.

That was all.

I don't share the same views as you Shelster sorry.

Youtube has a thing for freedom. Although it's getting abit derpy with new music laws and such. But with that said, People can post what they want within reason.

Tons of videos on YouTube of lions eating deer, Just don't watch it. There is a age limit you can set on youtube etc.

Facebook had a thing about this too, Don't see the point in removing content that others have interest in not yourself.
