....so....I am on the phone today.....look over at my already OVERSTOCKED 20 gallon (has 2 adult brichardi, 1 juvie and approx 250-300 2 month old fry) ....and what do I see? ANOTHER CLOUD OF BABIES!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I seriously don't know what to do with these fish....the parents are worth ALOT of money, being that they are wild caught breeding pair, but there is just no where that will give me what they are worth! Should I just start selling brichardi and that is all?!! I mean these fish are like a plague! They are in tanks in my house that I didn't even put them in! IT'S CRAZY!

.....and considering I now have 600 fish in a 20 gallon tank.......BLEHHHH!!!

I just don't know....stupid brichardi.

take the fry to a lfs with a really really really nice manager... if you're lucky, they'll take them in!

it's funny isn't it....other's have great difficulty getting them to breed........has to be all the TLC they get at your place

would somewhere like somewhere like aquabid or other online fishy auction be an option? Other thought is local fish club members.........they may want to buy some well bred, good condition brichardi

The thing is....they are worth around 6-7-8 dollars each at 1".....and they take almost 6 months to get to 1" I have 250-300 of them that are 1/2" right now....so I will just have to see if any or all of the stores around here will take some of them.....but I dunno because they are not of a "sellable" size...

UGH!!! I don't have money for a 90 gallon, which is what they need....and I don't want to get rid of the parents, but I think I have to.....

Ahh this is horrible I would never want to get rid of my fish! My suggestion is that you try to get a 90 gallon. If you are extremely desperate you could sell your new digital camera and then buy the 90 gallon. Then in 6 months you could start selling the babies and then you can start making your money back and then some. This is just an idea, maybe you could sale other things, just terrible to have to sell your fish. Hope this helped, and hope everything works out.

Chris even though you would get more for them at 1" you may want to seriously consider taking a small lose and try to sell them on line at their current size or sell some to forum members. This might at least thin out the population alittle for now.

Hell who knows you might be able to make enough now on them to be able to get that larger tank from the proceeds of selling them now.

surely the lfs would love to get there hands on ur babys!!!! they would over here lol maybe your have to do a deal..... sell them for lower than there worth at least u get somthing and makes them more worthwhile for the lfs!! are u sure u can't look at for some second hand tanks and find some space form them lol build a shed lol
