Grrahh! Weird Computer Screen!

well this iBook is having some problems and i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem with theirs
brand: macintosh
model: iBook G4
problem: screens knackered
symptoms: enmasses of flouresent pink and green in darkest spots on the computer screen

well if anyone here has had this happen to them please tell me how you fixed it (if you did)

im not 100% sure but magnets can do this to computer screens, has your screen come in contact with any magnets?.

This sounds like what happens if you put a magnet too close to the screen. Although that is with a normal CRT screen, not a laptop. On a normal monitor you would fix this by pressing the degauss button.

Does the Mac have a Degauss button or option for degauss on its menu. This should make the screen "shake" a bit then go back to normal. I'm not sure if you can degauss the flatscreen laptop screen.
