Am I the only one who knows how to take care of my fish?? Grr!! I went to my dad's for the week to take a little break from reality. My SO PROMISED me he would feed my fish. Well, he did but he fed my bettas goldfish food and my lyre tail molly and one of my bettas died and one of my large tiger barbs is "missing." Blah...

Oooh. That really sucks. I'm not sure what the story is so I'll come right out and ask you why your fish are at your dad's house.

Anywho, you should get some of those tablet dispensers with the days on them and you should fill them up with the amount of food you want your fish to get. Tell your dad to feed the betta(s) the desired amount of pellets or measure them out for him.

My fish are at my house..I was at my dad's. My bf said he would feed them and ended up killing them instead.

I've had similar experiances with my family. I'll come home after a weekend and find my fish dead. No problems lately though, my mom even remembered to feed all my fish the right foods.

Thanks for clearing it up.

My suggestion: stop trusting him. It's probably better to just let them go hungry for a few days or give them vacation food.
