Thanks synirr, I still feel like crap though. Like I said in the diary I think there weren't that many eggs to begin with, they only spawned for 2 hours and I watched most of it and there weren't that many eggies coming off her. I saw maybe about 20-30 eggs in the nest, so if I get that many I'll be happy

I use something like that to hatch the BS. I actually take a large soda bottle - 2 liter - cut it about 3 inches from the bottom. Drill a hole in the cap for the air hose. Then invert it and fill it with dechlorinated water and add about 1 tablespoon of aquarium salt. Add the eggs and place it inverted in the bottom portion of the bottle which then acts like a stand. Turn on the air hose and keep a good stream going. The ph here is about 7.4.... Within 12 to 18 hours the eggs start to hatch. No extra lights, nothing.

I keep two going at all times. When I'm finished with them, I remove the bottle caps and keep those and toss away the bottle parts.

Nashnut, good explanation except I'm a bit slow sometimes lol. I can't picture the inverting thing... Can you explain that some more? How it acts as a stand?

When you cut the bottom off - about three inches up from the bottom - it leaves you with sort of a bowl shaped bottom portion of the soda bottle. Put the air hose thru the cap and turn the top portion with the air hose thru the cap upside down and place it in the bowl portion...

l____ l The point of the V is where your cap and air hose will be. It fits right in there. You might have to
do arranging on the air hose but it works.

Yes that's all I use. A small pump, some air hose and a big bottle of soda!!!
I don't use a valve.
