Growing Java Moss

hi all just thought id share a little experiment i am doing.
in a nutshell i am trying to make a tree-ish looking thing in my tank using wood and java moss and so far its heading in the right direction, but still no where near enough.
 
so what i have done is take a small clump and put it in a clear bottle which is filled with water and a small amount of liquid co2 and then i am going to leave it on my windowsill.
 
i have heard of people doing this as an effective way to grow it
so what im going to do is keep a log and record how fast it grows and any problems that might occur(algae)

I like experiments. Personally I would have favoured changing 100% of the water daily rather than the dosing as tap water has loads of CO2 IN IT PLUS n k p and micros.

i am going to follow this one as i have done something similar in my bottled tank idea, and my god has my java moss grown massively, using EI method as ferts and liquid co2 and both emersed and submersed growth are good very good, expect the ends to go brown and then after that they will fall off and go bright green with new growth
 
not sure about static growth as i have a filter in my setup but from experience plants do better with some kind of flow over there leafs to help draw in nutrients and stuff, liquid co2 is great, i would recommend using a fert.

I currently have a bunch of java moss in a propagator in a north facing window. Changing water weekly with the co2 & ferts dosed tank water, been there three weeks and that is new growth happening now.

I can see daily 100% tap water changes being totally alien to fish keepers, but it's how people grow water cress, and the tap water has everything you need in it. Change it twice a day, even better.

i forgot to mention i will be changing the water regularly, i will try changing it as much as once a day but knowing me ill forget
