Hi all.  I am professional dog trainer, live in NC and have recently become interested in fish.  I have set up a 29 gal freshwater tank at my dog training studio.  Really enjoying it.  I find it very relaxing to watch my fish - cherry barbs, harlequin rasboras and albino cory cats.  I read lots of the beginner posts before I got started so thanks for all the advice.  I look forward to the discussions.

Welcome to the community, and good job with the research you've done... but you're a dog trainer, so you knew how important learning everything you could would be! Kudos!

Thanks Skies.  I found reading the posts on cycling very helpful and kept me patient during the weeks I waited until I could begin stocking.

Maybe you could give me tips on how to get my chihuahua to stop barking at every shadow or noise that goes past my apartment! lol I've had a wonderful time training my Jack Russel/Pug, she's smart as a whip and knows several hand fulls of tricks... I just can't get that other little pea-brain to catch on, but I love love and adore her, she's my lovebug. :3

Happy to help. Is it appropriate to talk about dogs on a fish forum? Most of the dog training boards I'm on would throw a fit if we posted about fish!

There's a General Chat and a place to discuss other pets on here so feel free :p

I would've thought the barking and such was just part of their 'little dog syndrome' ;)

Welcome to the forum good to know theres another carolinian here!

Thanks. Will try to get some good photos of the tank and post.
