hello guys,

So I have green water in my aquarium now, I don’t think it’s due to lighting because I only keep my tank lit 6-8 hours a day. I believe it’s due to overfeeding as I have a new Bichir and I love watching him eat. I know I can get rid of this through my regular water changes and cutting down on food but is there a quick way to fix this as I think it looks ugly and would like it to go asap, I’ll also cut down on food. Thanks guys

a good cleaning should clear it up.....

- syphon gravel
- scrape glass of any algae
- 50% water change
- clean filter

give it a few days to clear up.....maybe another 50% water change in 3-4 days

do not feed fish for 2-3 days....and when you start feeding again cut way back

One other question unrelated, my friend has a six foot long tank that he’s selling and so I was thinking can a Ornate Bichir fit into a tank this size? and could I also put a couple of Oscars in with him or would they not get along? Thanks for the reply

A 6'x2'x2' is the minimum tank size given on Seriously Fish.

I wouldn't trust oscars with a bichir.
