Green Tiger Barb

Hi there,

In my 180ltr tank, among the fish I have 4 green tiger barbs. 2 of which are not looking too well and i don't think will last very long....will I have to replace them or will the two barbs be okay with themselves if the others don't make it.

I have found that Barbs are happiest in a group of 8. Just lost a Tiger myself. I think a group of only 2 will fight too much.

Many thanks for your reply. I have 4 tiger barbs, 2 green barbs (both ill greens passed over night ) and 4 Red diamond barb. Will they be okay together or should I have 6+ of each.

Sorry for your loss. The Tigers and Greens consider themselves the same so you would have 6 in that group. I had 6 and increasing their numbers to 8 made them happier. Basically, the bigger the group, the better. Depending on available space of course.
