Suprised that the Betta is not eating the Cherrys, considering they are predatory and feed mostly on insects!

my fish bothered the ghost shrimp when i first put them it, but doesnt bother the cherries, they have been in the tank for about 2 weeks now and there are no casualties yet i have a bunch of java moss for them to hide in and clean, they seem to be doing great with the my betta, but my bfs betta killed his on the first night, i think it all depends on the temperament of the fish (his fish even attacks his snails)

1st post, hi! I keep amano shrimp with my now elderly betta and they all get on fine; I had cherries before and they were fine too - however I used to keep some ottos in there and he used to chase them! As you say I think it all depends on the temperament of the individual fish; maybe I've just been lucky...
