Hi, can anyone tell me if this is a male or female Green Serverum please. Cheers.

Neither. It's a female Rotkeil (Red Shoulder) severum.

Ah. Well that sounds better when I tell people I had a pair but the other died unfortunately would you recommend they live in pairs?

They can live alone, as a pair or in a group. It just depends on tank size and if you go for a pair/group you can get some territorial disputes during breeding but they generally coexist with most fish and are a pretty chilled out species.

Ive got a trio of Rotkeils and i have no drama's at all. Beautiful fish

As above. I would recommend them as a pair ideally, or a group if the tank is big enough. Pairs mean babies though, so....
