This will record my journey in (hopefully) breeding green phantom plecos, L200.
Any updates? Lol.

(I'm jking btw, I know its too early for any sort of update)

This is a cool thread to follow! Good luck on your journey!

Well, I picked up a group of them today. They are going into a preprepared tank that has been running over 6 months. I am moving the previous inhabitants out right now. I will post pics soon.

Do you have an estimated or hopeful timeline? Green phantoms are gorgeous, I can‘t wait to see how it goes!

Here are the new 4. I have one already, so 5 in the 90 gallon tank. I don't have any expectations for at least 6 months, as that are all about an inch shorter than my full grown guy.

I need more caves (on back order at the store, frustrating), but I have a pot of rocks and driftwood. I want at least one more large branching driftwood.

Large pieces of driftwood lying down so they can get under it. they want to feel secure and will like large dark caves.

Update! I got a variety of bottom feeder and algae pellets, and everyone seems to be eating them voraciously.

This was my first time buying bug bites pleco sticks and I am not sure if I will again. The fish love them, but boy are they messy! The omega one algae disks are nice, and the Sera spirulina tabs are always a big hit. The aquatic arts bottom feeder pellets held together pretty well. And the staple veggies of squash, cucumber, and broccoli were gobbled right up.

Thab
Anymore updates?
What tank size are you going to use for breeding?
What are the plans with the fry once you've grown them?
I'm definitely following this thread!
I also like your profile picture, nice nerite👍
Thanks! I have the breeding group in a 90 gallon, and will hopefully be able to keep the fry in the tank with the adults. Next month the tanks mates are being moved out, so it will be just these guys.
