Can anyone give me advice on how to stop neon green bacteria without adding too many chemicals to my show tank? I have a 60 gallon acrylic with a wet dry filter box with a in sump skimmer Im running along with some carbon, and all the water is RO/DI and at 0 ppm on the nitrites nitrates and ammonia, ph is a little low at 7.9 but Im adding a buffer to hopefully bring it up. Not over feeding the fish and I have the lights on 5 to 8 hours a day. Tank is fairly new 2 months old and had a brown bacteria problem about a month ago and I used a product called SLIME. Can anyone help

is this for a marine tank? I'm only assuming cos I saw the word skimmer. Might be better off asking in the marine section.
