great news~!

I walked into Petco today and went straight to the bettas. I saw that they now keep the bettas in little cups that are double the size than they used to be!! I was so happy!! Anyone else see this at a Petco by them?

Cool beans, glad to hear Petco is jumping on the bus too I've seen them at Wal-mart on occasion.

what's the point of getting new cups if you're going to only fill them 1/3 of the way full? i was so mad today....i went to walmart, and found that most of the cups were only half full! i seen 2 that looked wrose of all, and took matters into my own hands, and filled their cups up......i wish i had the time to do it to all of them

as for petco, i haven't been there in a couple weeks.....maybe i'll stop by tomorrow to see if ours has also made a change!

if they fill them full the bettas will jump out..

they gotta be carefull... ive seen bettas lying all over the place at a petcetera here..

spent 10 mins doing their job... grabbing bettas off the shelf and putting them into cups... evening out the water in the cups so they couldnt jump out... separating bettas,... 2 in 1 cup ...

oh...they ain't goin anywhere.....the cups have lids on them.

yea.....but i think the bettas at petcetera are the best...well cuz they like fill the cup to nearly full n leave about 1 cm space so its not totally full. But most bettas i see at petcetera are pretty active like my lil dear Moonlight

They have REALLY pretty and healthy bettas at my Petco! There was a really pretty one there yesterday... purple with some yellow in his fins! Too bad I have no where to put him

petco sucks.

one time i found 2 bettas in a cup (6 ounce) at petsmart! im sure they were too cramped to even bother fighting. it odl someone to seperate them and afterwards it seems like they each let out a sig of relief

yeah i went to petco and the bettas were in cups too small to even be stretched out fully. they had to kinda curl up so they could fit.

thats not the employees problem....thats a customer problem. some people are jerks and want to see what will happen when you put 2 together. our walmart has a worker that just loves the betta's and i over heard him/her(?) talking to another worker saying "people are so damn mean! someone put two of the betta's together in one bowl, and this one (points to one singled out by the sink) got his butt kicked....the other one is fine. but this one doesn't look too good...poor guy. people are just so cruel!"

and then at petsmart, i seen 2 betta's together, and i'm like "the betta's shouldn't be together....right?" "thats right" so i pointed out the cup. "well that sure ain't right" then he quickly seperated them.

so i don't think 2 betta's in a cup can be used against the store. especially seeing that they don't have special sences that say "somethings wrong....i better go check the betta section!" they can't really get to it immediatly.
