Think the monthly charge for BSAC or SAC is around £14 per month last time I looked into it not sure if that fee changes for different regions, its not unreasonable but im not sure i would make good use of that much per month, as dont get an amazing amout of free time these days.
In addition to what else our club offers we get discount in the shop and on courses usually 15%
As you previously said (and appologies for not picking up on this) it depends what you want out of diving as to what is better for the individual. Incidentally a friend of mine belongs to an SAA club who work somewhere between BSAC and PADI on thier traning
