Tank Size...

Height 28"
Length 47"
Width 5" (Tank is in a wall)

I want the gravel to cover about 4" in height..... how much would i need?

Black gravel, in bags of 2kg

if your tank is only 5" deep then its a simple equation of how many inches3 u need. height doesnt matter, all i need to know is the 4" u want. heres the sum
47 * 5 * 4 = 940"3 i think (i did it with out a calculator in cm it would of been easyer but u realise 4" in height is about 10cm... thats quite alot ide say u only need 2" max which makes it 470"3 of gravel if my math is corect.

Guys, the reason i wanted 4" is because as my tank is in a wall.... ive not left enough room at the top to get my hand all the way down. Wanted more gravel, so it would be easier reaching down in to the tank :D

well in that case i did the math earlyer, its simple im 14 and i know it...... u need 940 inchs cubed (thats about 2300cm2) and thats alot.... and earlyer i didn't mean to be rude with saying its simple. sorry if i ofended you
