So my trusty old pump gravel vacuum broke. I bought a cheapo one that looked the same off ebay, it was as thin as a peice of paper and did not work at all. So i decided to buy a battery powered gravel vacuum and thats just as bad.

Im stuck right now, i cant find a decent vacuum and i need one asap.

The python syphon gravel cleaner has caught my eye. Looks like an amazing peice of kit where i wont need to use buckets. Problem is, i cant find any UK suppliers.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? or something very simular?

Thanks

I'm not sure if there is a UK python manufacturer, but why not just use a piece of garden hose? I had a gravel vac from the fish shop, put a hose connector on yhe end, then when I water change I attach it to the hose, start the siphon and send one of the kids outside to water the garden! Shouldn't cost too much to do. :good:

How exactly does that work?

I have a battery vac here that i could attach a hose to BUT its too weak for the job. Doesnt pick all the little bits out of the gravel.

I really want a python or a uk equivelent.

Okay im actually begging someone now to guide me to a gravel cleaner/vac that works.

Ive spent almost £60 going through so many of these things. Ive now bought one of those pump action syphons where you pump it in the water till the water comes through. It works to a certain extent. Ie... it will drain water out but at a EXTREMELY slow rate, it takes 5 minutes just to fill 1 bucket up. It doesnt even take any crap from the gravel at all. Just clean water comes out.

PLEASE SOMEONE POINT ME TO A GOOD POWERFUL GRAVEL VAC. Money is no option ive spent so much as it is. 2 months now and i havent cleaned the tank out properly.

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!

The 'power' of syphon gravel vacs depends on how low the 'out' end of the pipe is compared to the in' end; how low is your bucket compared to the tank?

Tried that, Put bucket right on the floor so the tubing was stretched fully. No luck. Very slow flowing.

Anyway i dont want to use these

I prefer a pump action one, can anyone please recommend?
