Gravel Vac Nightmare!

I usually just suck it too.... One time I didnt quite clear the hose of aquarium water and I sucked on it, hehe, that was fun. Fish water does not taste to great.. I have learned my lesson since then and never have any problems.. It doesnt take a long or powerful suck, just a quick inhale and hurry and put it into your bucket because the water is coming.

I put my hand around the end of the hose and suck through my hand. This way my mouth doesn't even touch the hose and I never get water in my mouth. Very easy.
