So what exactly in the grapes is bad??? Our vet told us to put the dogs pills into a grape and feed them to him cus he wouldnt take the pills.

my dog cant eat grapes anyway, dont know why, he cant seem to bite through the skin. s'pose they dont have the right teeth for it.

My dog wouldn't eat a grape if her life depended on it, or any fruit for that matter.

My mother in law told us this not long ago so we have stopped feeding our dogs grapes.

Its pretty scary.

mine don't eat grapes. but they have had carrot cooked & raw (raw is good for stimulating the anal glad  ) broccoli cauliflower & sprouts.
one of them likes cucumber as well, in fact if i'm feeding something to the guinea pigs he thinks he has to eat it as well lol, but he is a bit of a freak a loveable freak thou lol

Does chocolate have the same effect on cats that it has on dogs?

yeah same effect

Our old cat was awful for chocolate... You couldn't leave any lying around, we couldn't have chocolate tree decorations as the one time we did, he ate them all off the tree, he kept breaking into our advent calendars, we bought him a 'cat advent calendar', he ate all the chocolate from that... Now our current one isn't into chocolate, luckilly, but crisps, small pieces of rubbish (ie, cardboard) and any other food you leave around (including potatoes, broccolli, biscuits, cake and pasta) he'll be off with.
