Gouramis

Hi, have been wondering if gouramis mix well with a range of corys and catfish. I have had all in separate tanks and wonder if i could mix them together as this would look attractive in my new 4ft tank.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, do you have any tips on the fishless cycle as my last one when terribly wrong and many fish died before i could get the balance right

oh no sorry my water lavels where im from are perfect so i can put the fish in staight away with no problems

Hi phonebox

Some male gouramis can become quite aggressive when they mature and I've seen them attack the corys. Females, on the other hand, are much more sedate.

For help with cycling your tank, it would be best to ask in the Beginners section. We have a number of members who are very knowledgeable about this and they will be happy to help you get off to a good start.

My LFS only sells female gouramis at the moment so that's not a problem. As for the tank cycling, i'll be sure to post in the begginers section.
