Can a gourami live in 15 gallon tank with tiger barbs, platies, and mollies?

Can it? Yes. Should it? Maybe. Will it injure other fish? Maybe. What breed to go for? I'd do honeys in a community tank. Rehome if any sign of aggressiveness towards or from other fish.
Hope this answers your question.

Hmm never knew they could be aggressive

A Dwarf Gourami could go in there, but I would be concerned that the Tiger Barbs would pick on him. Dwarf Gouramis are much slower moving than the Tiger Barbs. Generally Tiger Barbs will nip slower moving fish. I'm surprised they don't nip your Platies and Mollies.

I'd say a single dwarf or a couple of honeys would be fine in a 15 gallon (and yes, they can be little terrors, they are the same family as bettas after all) but it sounds like you're pretty fully stocked already.

my dwarf gourmai had to be rehomed when I got my first 2 guppies. I was told they'd be fine so long as I had plenty of tall plants and hidey holes for the gourami, but he was a nightmare. He even chased the tetras. The last straw was when I saw him fin nip one of the fancy tail guppies and ripped it from tip to base :-(
