Gourami V Tetras

Hi,

Ok I did post this question in the gourami forum but no one there seemed to know so now its your turn.

I am thinking of getting a gourami, apparently he/she will get on fine with my dwarf neon rainbows but what about my tetras?

I have silver tipped tetras and possibly will have ember tetras as well. Any thoughts?

Also has anyone kept ember tetras? They only grow to 0.8" so would be ideal for me, so as not to overstock. I have heard that they are not very common and finally my lfs has some in. Again any advice would be cool

I've never heard of ember tetras, but silver tips should be fine with gouramis.

Rebecca - how did you go adding your gourami ?

I currently keep

5 Cardinal Tetras
5 Rummynose Tetras
2 Coral Blue dwarf gourami's
2 Flame dwarf gourami's
2 catfish (dunno the exact type)
2 small Blue Rams
3 Neon rainbows (soon to add another 3)

and they all get along fine. Sometimes one of the Coral Blue Dwarf Gourami's gets a bit narky but nothing serious.
