Gourami! PLEEEEEASE HELP!

My gourami wasn't looking very good so i moved it to my hospital tank. the tank itself is fine, but the gourami kinda floats alive on top of the tank. his mouth is almost touching the surface of the water and his body is kinda leaning down. please tell me what to do!

Sorry to hear about your fishie. Can you tell us a bit about if there are any signs of illness besides the ones you mentioned? You said it was not looking very good? What was it doing? In the hospital tank, do you have a running filter in there? If it is at the top of the tank, my first thought is air.

i have a complete setup in the hospital tank, with full water movement so it gets lot's of air, it's completely cycled, perfect balance. the gourami looks bad. it's fins are kinda "deteriorated" and it's body isn't "round". it's kinda bumpy.

Does your fish kind of look like a pine cone? If so it may be Dropsy. Here is a link with pics of fish diseases, take a look,but let me warn you the pics are very grose.
