My gourami had his tail bended for few day ago and I was hot aware that this might be a decease since I assumed he was scared especially after Ottawa power outage.

For more than 24h now he is laying in the bottom breathing only. Should I euthanise him? When I net him he starts moving around like crazy then down again.

That's a dwarf , isn't it? If so, this looks like iridovirus, aka dwarf gourami disease. There's no cure, unfortunately. Assuming all this, I'd say it's best for both of you to euthanize.

But be sure to let us know if you have other fish there, your water parameters and confirm that your tank is properly cycled. Wanna be sure to cover all the basis before going for the drastic conclusion

Yes it's a dwarf. My water parameters are perfect and the tank is established a long time ago. I have 24 other fishes in there.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer, so tagging @Colin_T for help since he's the disease guy around here.

If it is the iridovirus, then euthanising is the only option sadly. I'm sorry about your fish. It really doesn't look good for him either way.

If the fish isn't eating and can't swim properly, euthanise it
