Looks like one of my female dwarf Gourami has that thing that's mentioned in the 'dwarf gourami FAQ'.

So what should I do? do I put her out of her misery or try and save her? She is isolated in a quarantine tank at the moment but dont want any suffering.

Also is it likely my other female and male Gourami will get this? they look ok so far.

thanks.

I don't believe it's contagious, but keeping the infected girl in a Q tank is always a good idea. It's not likely she'll survive, unfortunately. If she shows signs of starting to suffer, best to euthanize her. Sorry.

Whats the best way to dispatch of a fish quickly and painless?

this is her not the best picture but you can see the sores and bumps

There are a number of ways, but the way I do it is to net the fish, take it to the sink and whack the net against the side of the sink. Immediate and painless if you do it hard enough.

Another way is to put her in a small jar of tank water with a few drops of clove oil.
