how would a dwarf gourami fair in blackwater? i have an amazon tank and have fallen in love with the little guys.

Hi Gi4get
I had a look in my baensch aquarium atlas it say's that dwarf gouramis need peat filtration and a heavily planted tank. They are susceptible to disease so good water is essential. It would also be best if you brought them in pairs as well.
hope this helps

that really helps a lot actually. thanks for the info. my boyfriend just bought two (not a pair unfortunately) sunset dwarf gournamis and they're the most active, inquisitive and entertaining fish i've ever seen. i'm thinking about some myself. thanks again!

My pearl gouramis are in a black water tank and do just great. Their colour is fantastic.
